How does CV tailoring work?▾
Paste a UK job advert, upload your CV, and our AI rewrites your CV so the language and emphasis match what the employer is asking for. We never invent qualifications or experience. Your real story stays intact, just sharpened for the specific role.
What file types can I upload?▾
PDF or DOCX, up to 5 MB. LinkedIn profile PDF exports work too. If your CV won't upload, try saving it as a fresh PDF from Word or Google Docs.
What's the difference between free and Premium?▾
The free plan gives you three CV tailors a day. Premium (£9.99) unlocks unlimited tailors plus cover letters, interview prep, LinkedIn rewrites and the job tracker. See Premium.
The ATS score didn't change much — what now?▾
Usually means the job advert is unusually vague or that your CV is already well-matched. Try pasting more of the advert, or check the “Why this score” panel for which keywords were missing and consider adding them honestly if you have the experience.
Browser extension
Why isn't the job description auto-detecting?▾
We auto-detect on most major UK job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Reed, TotalJobs, Glassdoor, CV-Library, Monster) and most applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Workable). On unsupported sites, paste the description manually into the popup. If a board you use isn't covered, let us know and we'll add it.
The extension says I'm signed out▾
Open sausagedog.io in a regular tab, sign in there, then come back to the extension and click “I've signed in, retry”. The extension reads your session from the website, so signing in there fixes both at once.
Keyboard shortcut▾
Press ⌘⇧T (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+T (Windows/Linux) to open the popup from any page.
Privacy & data
Your CV and job descriptions are processed by AI to do the tailoring, then kept on your account so you can come back to them. We never sell your data and we never use it to train AI models. For the full detail see our privacy policy. To download or delete all your data, go to your account.
