Terms of Service

By using Sausage Dog (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Anthony Clasper, a sole trader trading as Sausage Dog, based at 30 Laburnum Road, Fulwell, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, SR6 9RW, United Kingdom.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

The Service is offered and marketed to residents of the United Kingdom only. By using the Service you confirm you are a UK resident. The Service is built around UK CV conventions, UK job boards and UK employment practice, and is not directed at, or intended for use in, the European Union, the European Economic Area, or any other market.

The Service being reachable from outside the United Kingdom does not constitute an offer of the Service in that place. If you access the Service from outside the UK you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk, and you remain responsible for compliance with any local laws that apply to you.

We use AI to generate tailored CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn content, and interview preparation material from content you provide. All output is AI-assisted and may contain errors, fabrications, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing every output for accuracy, truthfulness, and suitability before using it for any purpose, including sending it to an employer.

• Only upload your own CV and information you have the right to use.

• Do not use the Service for fraudulent applications, impersonation, or misrepresenting qualifications.

• Do not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service.

• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate our prompts, models, or system instructions.

• Do not use the Service to build a competing product.

• Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, or circumvent rate limits or access controls.

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

• Premium is a recurring subscription billed via Stripe. It renews automatically every month until you cancel it.

• You can cancel at any time from your account page, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling takes one click and you do not need to contact us. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

• Fourteen-day refund. For 14 days after your first payment there is a refund button on your account page. One click refunds that payment in full and cancels the subscription immediately. You do not need to give a reason or contact us first. This sits on top of your statutory rights, it does not replace them.

• After the first 14 days we do not refund part-months as a matter of course, but nothing here removes any right you have under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or any other law.

• Premium usage is subject to fair-use limits to prevent abuse. We may impose reasonable caps on AI generations per day even on paid plans.

• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price never applies to a period you have already paid for, and if you do not want to pay it you can cancel before it takes effect.

We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any career outcome. ATS match scores, salary benchmarks, and any analytical output are indicative only and based on AI estimation, not direct integration with employer systems. Real recruiter decisions and applicant tracking systems vary widely. Nothing on the Service constitutes career, legal, financial, or professional advice.

Job listings shown on the Service come from third-party job boards (currently Reed and Adzuna). We do not control and cannot guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or availability. A listing may be edited, filled, or withdrawn by the advertiser at any time. Applicant counts, salary figures, and posting dates are shown as reported by the source board and are indicative only.

Applying for a job happens on the third-party board or the employer's own site, under their terms, not ours. We are not the advertiser, agent, or employer for any listing and are not a party to any application or hiring decision.

You retain ownership of the content you upload (your CV, job descriptions, etc.) and the AI-generated outputs produced for you. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service.

The Service itself, including the website, code, design, brand, prompts, and underlying systems, is owned by Anthony Clasper and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

The Service relies on third-party providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, Resend, Vercel, Neon, Upstash and Google, and sources job listings from Reed and Adzuna. Their availability, pricing or policies may change. We are not liable for outages or failures caused by these providers. The full sub-processor list and international transfer mechanism is set out in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or use it for unlawful purposes. Where we can give notice first, we will. In cases of serious abuse or fraud, no refund will be issued. If we close a paid account for any other reason, including because we stop offering the Service, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us for deletion of your data.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

That exclusion does not apply to you as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content and services supplied to a consumer must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose you told us about, and as described. We cannot exclude or limit those rights and we are not trying to. If Premium is faulty you are entitled to have it put right, and to a price reduction or a refund where it cannot be.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including lost opportunities, lost income, lost employment, reputational harm, or data loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

If you are using the Service for business purposes, you agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your submission of content you do not have the right to use. This clause does not apply to consumers.

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers, internet failures, government action, or natural events.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a material change you can cancel, and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the new version.

If something has gone wrong, email hello@sausagedog.io with what happened and the email address on your account. We aim to reply within two working days and to resolve it within 14 days.

If we cannot resolve it between us, you keep every right you have in law. Free, independent advice is available from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or at citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer, and you can take a dispute to the courts of England and Wales. We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
