Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using sausagedog (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Anthony Clasper, trading as Sausage Dog, based in the United Kingdom.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

2. What we do

We use AI to generate tailored CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn content, and interview preparation material from content you provide. All output is AI-assisted and may contain errors, fabrications, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing every output for accuracy, truthfulness, and suitability before using it for any purpose, including sending it to an employer.

3. Your responsibilities

• Only upload your own CV and information you have the right to use.
• Do not use the Service for fraudulent applications, impersonation, or misrepresenting qualifications.
• Do not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate our prompts, models, or system instructions.
• Do not use the Service to build a competing product.
• Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, or circumvent rate limits or access controls.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

4. Premium subscription

• Premium is a recurring subscription billed via Stripe.
• You can cancel at any time from your Stripe billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law (UK consumers retain statutory rights, including the 14-day cooling-off period where applicable).
• Premium usage is subject to fair-use limits to prevent abuse. We may impose reasonable caps on AI generations per day even on paid plans.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; existing billing cycles are unaffected.

5. No employment guarantee

We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any career outcome. ATS match scores, salary benchmarks, and any analytical output are indicative only and based on AI estimation, not direct integration with employer systems. Real recruiter decisions and applicant tracking systems vary widely. Nothing on the Service constitutes career, legal, financial, or professional advice.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you upload (your CV, job descriptions, etc.) and the AI-generated outputs produced for you. By using the Service you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service.

The Service itself, including the website, code, design, brand, prompts, and underlying systems, is owned by Anthony Clasper and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Resend, Vercel, and Neon. Their availability, pricing, or policies may change. We are not liable for outages or failures caused by these providers. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or use it for unlawful purposes. In cases of serious abuse or fraud, no refund will be issued. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us for deletion of your data.

9. Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including lost opportunities, lost income, lost employment, reputational harm, or data loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your submission of content you do not have the right to use.

11. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers, internet failures, government action, or natural events.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new version.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
